This year (2015), Frank Sinatra would celebrate 100 years, and it is on this anniversary that a compilation is released that maps out the best of the almost 60-year music career of this legendary singer!

In addition to the digital and one song richer edition, there will also be versions on two LPs and especially the deluxe edition with four CDs, on which the producers have poured a characteristic hundred of Sinatra' s songs.
Frank Sinatra was the most famous singer of the 1940s and 1950s and is said to have also been the first true pop star. He remained in the field for 60 years. He has won countless awards, released dozens of albums and made several films. He made friends with the biggest celebrities, with presidents and allegedly also with mobsters.
Frank Sinatra
Sinatra was born in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1915. In the 1930s, his ambitious mother arranged his first musical “business“. Young Frank joined the local group The Three Flashes. He had his first successes with her, but soon left the group. In 1939 he recorded his first solo demo Our Love and then his first professional recording From the Bottom of My Heart, which is a sought-after collector' s rarity today. That same year, he received an offer from Tommy Dorsey' s band and set out on a journey to fame.
In the 1940s, Sinatra became a superstar. As a singer, he attracted mainly teenagers, which was not usual at the time, and in 1941 he appeared in the first film Las Vegas Nights.
Frank Sinatra
In the early 1950s, he seemed to have nothing more to offer, but then won an Oscar for his role in the highly acclaimed film From Here to Eternity, and his career took a second breath. He has released successful albums In the Wee Small Hours, Frank Sinatra Sings For Only The Lonely, Swing Easy! and Songs For Swingin ' Lovers with the legendary song I' ve Got You Under My Skin.
According to the FBI file, “Frankie Boy“ had ties to the mafia at the time. Sinatra, on the other hand, was not innocent, his file also includes contacts with prostitutes and criminals.
My Way.
In the 1960s, a number of notorious hits such as Strangers in the Night and Something Stupid were born. Then in 1970 came the famous My Way, a song that became synonymous with Sinatra.
However, with the advent of rock music, interest in it declined sharply. Depressed, Sinatra himself felt that he did not belong in this world, and he decided to retire. After three years, however, he changed his mind and released another album. In 1980 came the album Trilogy: Past Present Future, which houses the famous tune of New York, New York.
Frank Sinatra
Sinatra partially intervened in the disco era when he released a very modern L album with Quincy Jones. A. with My Lady, but he never returned to the top.
He still performed during the 1990s and received a Grammy for lifetime achievement. Unfortunately, the award ceremony ended in embarrassment when the old singer talked too much and after a few minutes he was cut off and the music started. He last appeared on television in 1995 and died three years later
