Skandar and the Chaos Competition
In the third installment of the thrilling series, Skandar faces his most difficult test yet.
If Skandar and his friends want to survive the third year of training, they must succeed in several terrifying competitions held in various elemental areas of the island. Friendships, alliances, and bonds between riders and unicorns will be strained to the breaking point—and only the strongest will stand. Meanwhile, Skandar' s sister Kenna has finally arrived at the Nest, but she feels lonely and outcast because of her fake bond and wild unicorn. And when a horrific discovery puts the island' s future in jeopardy, everyone starts pointing fingers at one person.
As suspicions grow and dark powers prepare to engage in battle, Skandar must decide to whom he will remain loyal. How far is he willing to go — for Kenna and for the Nest?
They wrote about the book:
Steadman attractively weaves together the individual underlying motifs and either keeps the reader tense or throws them into a whirlwind of action. You will rack your brains trying to interpret ambiguous prophecies, experience small joys and great worries with the heroes, train diligently for the tournament and compete.
- Fantasy Planet about Skandar and the Ghost Rider
The Skandar series still plays on the strong premise of killer unicorns in particular — because honestly, who wouldn' t want to read something like that? The author develops entertaining reading full of various motifs, from classic ones typical of children' s literature to original ones.
- Fortress of Skandar and the Ghost Rider
This book is extremely suspenseful from the very first lines. I loved the previous two parts of the series and it just keeps getting better and better. Don' t be discouraged, with the third installment, Skandar confirms its status as a classic fantasy series, and it completely deserves it.
