Snake eyes

The death of an entire family in their sleep is in itself an unimaginable tragedy. But FBI Special Agent Nina Guerrero and the team of FBI profilers she is part of are about to investigate the possibility that the whole thing is even more frightening. Is there a link between this event and the triple murder case that took place four years earlier and 3,000 kilometres away?

Their worst fears are soon confirmed when detectives stumble upon the trail of a serial killer so insidious that his bestial crimes go unnoticed for nearly 30 years. Moreover, Nina perceives the brutal crime on a personal level: With each crime scene, the terrifying story of Llorona, the cursed woman of Mexican legend who was the cause of many a nightmare in her childhood orphanage, resonates again.

Nina knew human evil better than anyone, but this time the bloody game follows a mysterious pattern, disturbing, confusing and full of unknowns. Following clues pointing in an unexpected direction, Nina finds herself much closer to her own unrecognised past than she would like.

Time is running out, and as the circle of suspects narrows, ancient events curiously collide with the present, forcing Nina to make the ultimate sacrifice.
