A song of blood: The first volume of the epic fantasy saga Shadow of the Raven
Vélin Al Sorna, initiate of the Sixth Order, was trained from childhood to fight and kill in the service of the Faith. The Order became his only family. Vélin's father had served as a knight to King Janus, the ruler of the United Kingdom, but decided to strip Vélin of his rights and left him on the doorstep of the Sixth Order when he was only ten years old.
During his stay in the order, the boy learns unsuspected details about his mother, who died when he was a child. He hates his father for his decision to abandon him and leave him to the Order, but he also gradually reveals the reasons that led him to it. But one truth is more important than all others: Vélina Al Sorna has a future she has yet to understand. A future that will change not only the kingdom, but the world.
