This compilation showcases the native of Vyškov, Moravia, at several stages of his career, which currently continues at the Semafor Theatre.
Among the more than twenty tracks are Neklidné srdce (Restless Heart) and Už jedou vozy s bílou slámou (The Wagons with White Straw Are Coming) with the Gustav Brom Orchestra (1967), Tak snadno (So Easily) with Prague's Apollojazz (1968), and a set of big hits from the turn of the 60s and 70s (conductors Vlach and Zahradník): Tam za tratí (Beyond the Tracks), Měsíc Lord (Moon Lord), Marianne, Markéta, Grand Prix, Belinda, and Stoupá dým (Smoke Rises).
In addition to performing with the bands of his fellow singers, he applied his combination of singing and acting talent (a graduate of JAMU in Brno) in songs directly from films (Joplin's Entertainer as Jak to chodí/The Way It Goes), as well as those with a touch of chanson. The songs Znáš mě tak málo (You Know Me So Little), Nech mě ještě chvíli spát (Let Me Sleep a Little Longer), Pak někdo začal tiše zpívat (Then Someone Started Singing Quietly), or Mám po krk tajné lásky (I'm Fed Up with Secret Love) may not have topped the pop charts in the eighties, but—unlike some more frequently played at the time—they have stood the test of time.
