Steve Jobs - Blu-ray
His passion and ingenuity were the driving forces of the digital age. Ultimately, this affected his family life and perhaps even his health. This revealing film takes us behind the scenes of Steven Paul Jobs's life, including the founding of Apple, and the initial tests and triumphs of this modern genius.
We first meet Jobs in the mid-1980s as he launches the Macintosh. From the very first minutes, it becomes clear to the audience that the legends about his antisocial and unbearable nature were true. He is a monster who bullies his subordinates for failing to carry out impossible orders, humiliates the mother (Katherine Waterston) of his daughter, whose paternity he refuses to acknowledge despite a court ruling, and argues fiercely with his right-hand woman, Joanna Hoffman (Kate Winslet), until he gets his way. As the minutes pass, however, this one-dimensional psychopath transforms into a multi-layered personality whom the audience will come to understand, admire, and, of course, also hate. Much like any exceptional human being who saw further than everyone else.
