Stones

In this book you will find about 85 species of minerals, gems, rocks and fossils that are most commonly found in our country. I'm sure you won't be able to find them all in your neighborhood right away. However, if you prepare well for your expeditions and find out enough information about good sites, you will discover some of these stones.

Read on to find out how best to plan, what to look out for and where you can get important information. The book is very clear, with detailed photographs of minerals, gems, rocks and fossils to help you identify them.

You'll also find interesting information about collecting them and tips on what you can do, explore and try. On the flaps of the cover you will read about the colour of mineral inclusions and advice on how to identify rock types.
