Stranger Things: the Dark Experiment

Mystery lab. Ominous scientist. Secret history.

If you think you know the truth about Mother Eleven, prepare to have your breath taken away by this prequel.

It is the summer of 1969. Fear and strife are affecting young Americans - at home and abroad. Terry Ives studies at a university in the heart of Indiana - far from the front lines of the Vietnam War or the fiery protests in Washington.

The world is changing and Terry doesn't want to watch it from afar. So he signs up as a test subject in a government experiment, code-named MKULTRA, which is taking place in the small town of Hawkins. Unmarked vans, a remote lab deep in the woods, mind-altering substances... and a mystery Terry must get to the bottom of.

Behind the walls of Hawkinson's lab and the penetrating gaze of its director, Dr Martin Brenner, lies a mystery bigger than Terry could ever imagine. To uncover him, she will need the help of her associates, including one so mysterious that no one even knows he exists - a young girl with supernatural qualities and a number for a name: 008.

Amid the rising tensions of a new decade, a war has begun, the battlefield of which is the human mind.
