Television: Marquee Moon Ltd Clr
LP Record In 1977, Television released their debut album "Marquee Moon". Although it sold fewer than 80,000 copies in the US and barely broke the top thirty in the UK, it is widely regarded as one of the seminal albums of the punk era. F. Schöler's review in Stereo 3/88: "The oft-imitated masterpiece of the American new wave of rock, finally in a fitting transfer." "'Marquee Moon' is a solid collection of angst-ridden songs, but the searching guitar work and the sharp, unsettling tone make it indelible. The title track is a true tour de force: 'Marquee Moon' forges a spiritual connection between Allman Brothers-style virtuosity and Velvet Underground introspection. There is nothing else quite like it in rock."
