Plan Your Escape
Success in The Escapists depends on planning and stealth. Every day, you must follow the prison routine, which includes roll calls, meals, and work, to avoid arousing the guards' suspicion. You can then use your free time to observe their patrols, explore potential escape routes, and gather information. You'll learn when to blend in with the crowd and when to seize an opportunity. Proper timing and knowledge of the daily schedule are key to a successful prison break.
Craft Tools and Gain Allies
The game features a crafting system where you can create useful items from over 185 seemingly ordinary objects. You can assemble useful tools and weapons for potential self-defence from stolen items. Interacting with fellow inmates is also an important part of the game. You can trade with them, complete small tasks for them, and build your reputation. Allies can provide you with valuable items or information, but be careful who you trust.
Explore Prisons and Improve Your Character
The Escapists offers a total of eight different prisons, each presenting a new challenge with a unique layout and security measures. You can also improve your character's stats during the game. For example, you can improve your physical strength and intellect, which is needed to craft more complex items. There are also ten different jobs available, which will earn you money to buy necessary equipment from other prisoners.
The purchased product key must be activated in Steam:
1) Go to https://store.steampowered.com/ and click on the green button that says "Install Steam".
2) Install and run the Steam client and log in with your existing account or create a new one.
3) Click "Add Game" at the bottom left corner of the screen and then select "Activate a Product on Steam"
4) The "Product Activation" window will pop up. Follow the onscreen instructions and enter your purchased code.
5) Once the activation is complete, you can find the new game in your "Library" tab.
6) Press the blue "Install" button to install the game.
