The Mummy - Blu-ray
The Mummy - Blu-ray
Egypt, two thousand years ago. The ambitious Princess Ahmanet is preparing to take over the country's rule from her father, and to achieve her goal, she does not hesitate to ally herself with the dark forces of the god Set. She is punished by being mummified alive and buried so that no one can find her. But she is found.
Two thousand years later, adventurer Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) and archaeologist Jenny Halsey (Annabelle Wallis) find themselves at her place of eternal rest. They accidentally discover Ahmanet's sarcophagus, which Jenny has urgently transported to London for further examination. Jenny works for a secret organisation called Prodigium, whose mission is to hunt down and capture the most dangerous monsters. Prodigium's director, Dr Jekyll (Russell Crowe), has quite extensive experience in this area.
However, the plane carrying the cursed princess's mummy does not reach its destination; it crashes shortly before landing. Nick miraculously survives the disaster, but he soon discovers that dying in the plane wreckage would have been a much better option for him. Princess Ahmanet has awakened and craves world domination. And for that, she needs Nick.
