In 1997, after spending thirty years in prison, Horacia enters a world she no longer recognises: her husband is dead and, although she reconnects with her daughter, she cannot find her son. She soon realises, however, what hasn't changed – the power and privilege of the elite.
Ironically, Horacia's former aristocratic lover Rodrigo, who orchestrated her imprisonment, is now trapped in his own golden cage: like his wealthy friends, he has stopped leaving his house due to an escalation in kidnappings targeting the rich. Horacia decides to take advantage of this hysteria and plots her revenge.
