The third independent album Traditional Jazz Studio, recorded in 1972, consists of half of Antonín Bílý' s composition, the author of the music on the other side of the gramophone record is Pavel Smetáček.
Although the ensemble in 1959 - then still as the Study Group of Traditional Jazz - began with the most faithful reconstructions of compositions from the repertoire of masters of early New Orleans jazz, its own work had a place in it from the beginning.
In this respect, the album Entomologův sen is one of the peaks of the band' s work - it brought together excellent songs, collected over several years, and the then line-up Traditional Jazz Studio was also one of the best.
Pavel Smetáček wrote on the cover in 1972: “ We try to bring the listeners, above all, the joy aroused by our enthusiasm for the music we play, and at the same time the pleasure of the game itself. ” No doubt they succeeded.
The recording is now being released on a compact disc for the first time.
