The memoir of Charlie Engle, a runner who has won the world's toughest endurance races or placed at the top

In 2007, Matt Damon produced and narrated Crossing the Sahara, the story of how Engle and his team became the first to successfully cross the Sahara, a 7,240 kilometre journey.

Because of drugs, he gradually sank to the bottom of society and it seemed that a tragic end was inevitable. Then another passion suddenly entered his life. The passion that saved his life - running. He has achieved many things and has become one of the world's top extreme runners, running the world's toughest races and being the first to cross the Sahara with two colleagues. But even then, his life did not go smoothly, and another twist came - prison.

But fortunately there was running to help him overcome even an unfair punishment. In this book, he tells his own life story, the story of a man who, through his incredible will and the help of good friends and family, accomplished what at first seemed impossible.
