Van Morrison: Moving On Skiffle Ltd Clr
LP Record It’s no surprise that Van Morrison has recorded an album inspired by skiffle, as his love for the genre dates back to his childhood. He spent a lot of time in the famous Atlantic Records shop in Belfast, listening to early 20th-century folk, blues and jazz. It wasn't long before Van Morrison was playing in a skiffle band at school. Decades later, Van Morrison returns to his love for the genre with a new album, "Moving On Skiffle", released in March 2023. The lead track, "Streamline Train", is a taste of the upcoming 23-track album. On "Moving On Skiffle", Van Morrison revisits the musical style that exploded across the UK in the mid-1950s.
