Waiting
Harry Bosch is not only long retired, but his health is increasingly troubled. His daughter Maddie, however, is diligently following in her father's footsteps and trying to work her way up to LAPD detective. He starts working on two cases with Renee Ballard.
They get a hot DNA lead of a connection between a recently arrested man and a serial rapist and killer who went silent twenty years ago. The arrested man is only twenty-four years old, so the genetic link must be familial. But when Ballard and her team move in on the suspect, they encounter a confusing web of secrets and legal obstacles.
The trail leads to dangerously high rings, and Harry's experience and courage will surely come in handy.
