Why democracies fail
Democracies have failed many times in the past. The democracies of ancient Greece disappeared, many European democracies disappeared during the 1920s and 1930s, democracies in Latin America have also occasionally disappeared and are still disappearing, and it was not so long ago that democracies disappeared from some developing countries. Even democracies in the West, it seems, are beginning to wobble somewhat. There is a growing general dissatisfaction among a part of the population with the economic and social development of their states. There is increasing unrest and discontent, among other things, with the low functionality of the democratic state. In this book, one will find the reasons why democracy may well fail and perish. In our country (and not only in our country), democracy is seen as a sacred cow that should not be criticised much, and which, apart from certain minor adjustments, is considered the only progressive and possible organisation of society. As the end of history and the final system. These are precisely the attributes that are added to something that is (seemingly) permanent and unchanging, and which does not respond to the complex transformations of a society that is constantly evolving and rushing further and further.
These are precisely the attributes that every system receives at a time when it already has one foot in its own grave. Such a situation, however, is unsustainable in the long term.
