The book brings an original comprehensive view of the healing of chronic wounds. It presents expert information not only on the actual process of diagnosis and therapy of chronic wounds, but also on the process of standardization of nursing procedures and outcomes of nursing care according to the 3N Alliance (NANDA, NIC, NOC) and evidence-based nursing practices. The book describes the basic procedures of chronic wound care, including wound assessment and basal phase healing and global healing procedures. Separate chapters are devoted to a comprehensive approach to the care of selected chronic wounds and defects (tibial ulcerations, decubitus ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome).
