The rain gauge is an accessory of Netatmo's Meteo range and, in conjunction with the Meteo station, informs you of the amount of rain at your home. There is a smart solution on offer to connect the rain gauge to your smartphone. The rain gauge will send you an alert the moment it starts to rain in your garden. This allows you to decide when and how much moisture your flowers or English lawn need. The rain gauge is designed to be wireless and energy efficient, offering up to one year of battery life.
To use the product's smart features, you need to add the device to the manufacturer's app. For more information about the application (name, supported OS, supported languages) and how to add a device to the application, please refer to the product manual.
The Netatmo Smart Rain Gauge serves as an add-on module to the Netatmo Smart Weather Station (sold separately), with which it must be used - it does not work alone. Only one rain gauge can be connected to a weather station. The device communicates wirelessly over a long distance of up to 100 m using the 868 MHz frequency.
Track and measure the amount of rain wherever you are with the mobile app. As soon as the first drops start, you will receive an alert on your smartphone: just in time to take down the laundry or close the windows. You can download the communication app free of charge to access your online data. The data is then updated every 5 minutes. The app is compatible with Android, iOS and iPadOS operating systems. It is compatible with iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad Touch (5. generation) and later, Android 4.0 and later with access to Google Play. It also supports common web browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
With the Intelligent Rain Gauge, you can see the amount of water invaded in real time and accumulated over the previous days. This way, you can adjust the watering of your garden even when you are away. You can also link the monitored data to other modules (Anemometer, Other indoor module) for more detailed meteorological analysis.
The rain gauge installs in minutes. Connect it to a Netatmo Intelligent Meteo station and then place it outside the house: is ready. Powered by only 2 AAA batteries, designed to consume as little power as possible, and has a shelf life of up to one year. It does not need to be emptied like the rain gauge test tubes. Just put it down and that's it! The economical design allows you to enjoy accurate measurements without the need for frequent battery changes.
