A 18-105mm AF-S DX VR lens is also included utilising superb Nikon quality optics, guaranteeing the highest quality images are captured

The EXPEED 4 processing engine, with advanced technologies quickly processes data into brilliant images in all lighting conditions. This processing system is powerful enough to allow continuous recording of Full HD movies at up to 5 frames per second.
The Nikon DSLR D5500 Camera is constructed from a uniform, light, yet robust body design making it the perfect photographic partner for every occasion. Equipped with a perfectly moulded grip, allows for secure handling with minimal effort to gain full control over the accessible buttons and wheels. The Fn (function) button lets you quickly adjust key settings by moving your finger on the monitor while shooting with the viewfinder. Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
