Imagine a power outage just before you saved that important document. Your document has disappeared, and you have to start again from nothing. Such catastrophic scenarios can be prevented by the nJoy Code 800 uninterrupted power supply (UPS). In principle, this hardware is just a premium battery backup that powers all types of computers and devices that need electricity to function. The nJoy Code 800 backup power has the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is classified as the most basic form if the electricity is interrupted, since it connects to the battery and disconnects from the mains power. The line interactive UPS enhances the simpler off-line version of voltage regulation to guard against dangerous surges and spikes.

A key attribute is how long the UPS will function when the electricity is off. This is governed by the power consumption of the connected electronics – for example, at half-load (50%), the run time can last up to three times as long. The load of the backup source governs the operating time, which at full load is 1 min and at a load of 50%, it's 2,5 min. It is therefore essential to estimate the energy consumption of the connected electronics and ideally to add some spare power left. The nJoy Code 800 specifies the apparent power as 800, but in reality, the actual usage matches the value of 480 W.
