The Optoma W309ST projector uses DLP display technology and achieves a brightness of 3800 ANSI lumens, which supports clear projections even in un-darkened spaces. Thanks to its native resolution of 1280×800 pixels and a 25000:1 contrast ratio, it displays a sharp and detailed image. As an ultra short-throw projector, it is designed for installation in small rooms, where it projects a large screen size from a minimal distance. A throw ratio of 0.52:1 means it can display a 100" image from just over one metre away. The long lamp life, which reaches up to 15000 hours in ECO+ mode, contributes to low running costs. An integrated 10W speaker provides clear sound without the need for external speakers.
The DLP display chip with a native WXGA (1280×800) resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio forms the basis for a clear and detailed projection. With a high brightness of 3800 ANSI lumens and a 25000:1 contrast ratio, the projector renders vivid colours and deep blacks, which is effective even in rooms with daylight. Its 0.52:1 throw ratio classifies it as an ultra short-throw projector, capable of creating an image up to 302.98" from just a few metres away.
The light source is a lamp with a lifespan of 6000 hours in standard mode. Running costs are reduced by power-saving modes that extend the lamp life to 10000 hours (ECO), 12000 hours (Dynamic) or up to 15000 hours in ECO+ mode. The low total cost of ownership is also supported by the power consumption, which ranges from 187W to 225W at full power and drops to 0.5W in standby mode. Quiet operation, with fan noise ranging from 26dB to 28dB, does not disrupt presentations or lessons.
The projector offers flexible placement options, whether free-standing on a table or permanently installed on the ceiling. The projection distance ranges from 0.4 metres to 3.4 metres, which makes it easy to use in different types of spaces. For quick and accurate image geometry adjustment, there is vertical keystone correction in the range of ±40°. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 10.8×31.6×24.4cm and a net weight of 3.0kg, handling and installing the projector is easy.
For connecting signal sources, the projector is equipped with HDMI 1.4a ports, a VGA input and output, and a composite video input. Audio can be connected via a 3.5mm audio input or routed out via a 3.5mm audio output. A USB-A port with a 1A output powers external devices such as wireless HDMI dongles. An RS232 port is provided for remote control and integration into control systems.
