Orofar is used to relieve symptoms related to infection of the mouth and throat: sore throats associated with colds, pharyngitis or laryngitis, in the treatment of stomatitis (inflammation of the lining of the mouth), aphthae and gingivitis. Orofar can be used as an adjunctive treatment for angina. Orofar contains an antiseptic (a substance with disinfectant effects), benzoxonium chloride, and an anaesthetic (a substance that numbs the site of pain), lidocaine hydrochloride. Orofar works against bacteria, viruses and fungi that cause infections of the mouth and throat. Orofar provides relief from pain in the throat and oral cavity. The pack contains 24 traps.
Dosage and method of use
Children aged 5-11 years: Every 2-3 hours 1 lozenge. Do not take more than 6 lozenges in 24 hours. Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: Every 2-3 hours 1 lozenge. If needed, in case of severe sore throat, 1 lozenge can be taken every 1-2 hours. Do not take more than 10 traps in 24 hours. Aphthae: Allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly so that it is in contact with the aphthae. Orofar lozenges should not be given to children under 5 years of age.
Contraindications
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before, before taking this medicine. During the breastfeeding period, Orofar should be used with caution and only when absolutely necessary. Do not give Orofar to children under 5 years of age.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging for Use by:. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Orofar lozengesStore at temperatures up to 30°C in the original packaging to protect the product from moisture. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to deal with products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
