Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Canine NF Renal Function is a complete dietary food with reduced high quality protein and phosphorus for adult dogs designed to support renal function in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and to reduce the formation of urate and cystine stones. The low phosphorus content helps to slow the progression of chronic renal insufficiency, while the limited high quality protein content helps to minimise muscle loss and toxin production. The addition of omega-3 fatty acids helps reduce elevated blood pressure in the kidneys. The feed is low in calcium and vitamin D3 and its non-acidifying composition supports a neutral urine pH (6.7-7.5)

Feed indication
Kidney disease is a common cause of ill health, affecting around 1% of all dogs and more than 10% of dogs over 10 years of age. Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Canine NF Renal Function is suitable for dogs suffering from chronic renal failure (CKD), renal failure associated with leishmaniasis or leptospirosis, and for liver diseases accompanied by encephalopathy. Thanks to its reduced sodium content, it is also suitable for dogs with specific dietary needs. The feed helps to prevent recurrences of urate and calcium oxalate urolithiasis and is also suitable in the early stages of heart disease.
Feeding instructions

For every additional 5 kg of body weight, add 30 g of pellets per day.

Contraindications:
Not suitable for dogs requiring high protein or phosphorus feeds, for feeding during pregnancy, lactation and growth and for diseases requiring high protein or phosphorus intake.
