The Poulain brand was founded in 1848 in Blois, France. It takes its name from its founder, Victor-Auguste Poulain. His vision was to make chocolate accessible to all, as at that time it was a product mainly for the aristocracy.
The founder himself believed that the basis of an honest product is quality ingredients. Therefore, from the very beginning of the brand, emphasis has been placed on the origin of the cocoa, the careful sorting of the cocoa beans and the quality of the production process. The founder's legacy lives on in Poulain products today, with respect to current trends. Therefore, the brand's portfolio is enriched with other delicious products (e.g. less sweetened, organic, no palm oil. ).
Even after so many years since its inception, chocolate with foal (French for foal = poulain) is still on the breakfast table of almost every French family. This is because Poulain chocolate has a delicious and authentic chocolate taste.
