Prospan syrup 100 ml
Prospan is a phytopharmaceutical (herbal medicine). Prospan contains dry ivy leaf extract as an active ingredient. Prospan syrup for children, adolescents and adults is used to treat acute inflammation of the respiratory tract accompanied by coughing. The preparation loosens mucus in the respiratory tract, facilitates coughing and relieves coughing. After consultation with a doctor, it is also used to treat chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract accompanied by coughing. Prospan cough syrup for babies, children, adolescents and adults. The package contains 100 ml.
Dosage and method of use
Dosing Prospan for Infants (Children under 1 year of age):
2.5 ml of syrup twice a day (equivalent to 35 mg of Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum - dry extract of ivy leaf).
Dosage of Prospan for children between 1-5 years of age:
2.5 ml of syrup three times a day (equivalent to 52.5 mg of Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum).
Dosing Prospan for children between 6-9 years of age:
5 ml of syrup three times a day (equivalent to 105 mg of Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum).
Dosing Prospan for adults, adolescents and children over 10 years:
5 ml of syrup three times a day (equivalent to 105 mg of Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum). If necessary, adults (in case of severe discomfort or if they are overweight) can take 7.5 ml of the syrup three times a day (equivalent to 157.5 mg of Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum).
Contraindications
Do not take if you are allergic to dry ivy leaf extract or any other ingredient in this product. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Prospan. If shortness of breath, fever or blood or pus in the expectorated mucus appears, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted immediately.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. This product does not require any special storage conditions. Shelf life after first opening is 6 months. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and bottle after "Use by". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
