QNAP QDA-A2AR

The QNAP QDA-A2AR adapter can accommodate two 2.5" SATA drives in one 3.5" position. It does not require any software driver and can be installed on a Windows, Linux or QNAP NAS computer or workstation. It provides file transfer speeds of up to 6 Gb per second. Supports a variety of RAID configurations. You can use the metal switch to toggle the disk mode and choose the mode that suits you. The adapter offers an individual mode. For a computer that supports SATA port multipliers, you can connect two SATA drives to a single SATA port, allowing you to access each drive independently. In RAID 1 mode, half of the total storage capacity is used to store data and the other half stores a copy of that data. RAID 0 mode distributes data between disks. It guarantees the fastest performance, but does not protect data from disk failure. JBOD mode recognizes all disks as a single drive, allowing maximum storage utilization, but data is not protected.
