The Reolink NVS12W network video recorder is used to store and manage video recordings from security cameras of the same brand. The desktop device processes the signal from multiple cameras at once and saves the data to an internal SATA hard drive. The system receives a video signal from up to twelve cameras simultaneously and provides continuous 24/7 recording. Users can watch the live stream or search through saved recordings via the desktop app, mobile app, or web interface. The recorder works with Reolink security cameras and records video with H.265 or H.264 compression.

Wi-Fi 6 wireless connection
The recorder uses the Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard with 1024-QAM technology. This wireless technology delivers higher transmission speeds for smooth, high-resolution video up to 16MP. It ensures stable data transmission even with a large number of cameras connected simultaneously, thanks to support for OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies. The device supports IEEE 802.11a/ac/ax/b/g/n standards and operates on frequencies that support both Wi-Fi 5 in the 2.4GHz band and Wi-Fi 6, eliminating dropouts and stuttering when streaming in UHD quality.
Recorder for Reolink IP cameras and disk capacity
The 2TB hard drive is connected via a SATA interface. The internal storage for recording can be expanded to a capacity of up to 16TB. The recorder captures video from all connected cameras simultaneously without needing a permanent internet connection. Data is securely stored directly on the local drive, so you won't lose any recordings even if the external network goes down. A single bay can accommodate a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive.
Wide signal coverage
Four high-gain external antennas transmit a stable wireless signal in all directions. The device reliably covers an area of up to 1000m² and helps maintain a connection even with more distant cameras on your property. The strong wireless signal passes through obstacles, making it easy to place security devices on the house facade, garage, or fence without running long cables. This gives you a complete overview of the entire monitored area and every corner of your property.
Secure Reolink network video recorder
Transmitted data and video recordings are protected by the modern WPA3 encryption protocol, which prevents unauthorised access to video footage and protects user privacy from external attacks. The recorder also supports the older WPA and WPA2 standards to maintain backward compatibility with older camera models. Network security thus meets current requirements for protecting sensitive data and prevents recordings from leaking from internal storage. The recorder also offers cloud storage support for additional backup.
Easy setup and installation
Setting up the entire camera system requires just a few simple steps in Plug & Play mode. Once the recorder is connected and the cameras are turned on, they automatically synchronise with each other. You can watch the live stream from the cameras almost immediately after plugging them in, without any complicated network parameter setup. The system is ready to use in minutes, making installation easy even for less experienced users. Managing the entire system is made simple with the included USB mouse and clear user interface.
12-channel Reolink NVR and its interfaces
On the back panel of the recorder, you will find HDMI and VGA connectors for connecting a monitor or television. For connecting to the local network, there are RJ-45 Ethernet ports with a speed of 10/100 Mb/s, with four ports available for IP cameras and one port for a LAN/WAN connection. Two USB 2.0 ports are used for connecting the control mouse or for quickly backing up data to an external drive. The recorder also has an RCA audio output and supports recording at resolutions up to 4608×1728 pixels. The device has a total weight of 1.4kg.
