The old world is dying. It is overpopulated and the population continues to grow. It is polluted and plagued by a deadly, incurable disease. GreedFall is an RPG with an emphasis on free character development based on the player's decisions. Only the island of Teer Fradee is resisting the plague. This island is remote, wild, hidden and untouched by human civilisation.
A new sanctuary gives people hope for survival. Perhaps it holds the cure for the plague. Gather settlers, mercenaries and treasure hunters and set off for an island full of riches. But this fresh new world is shrouded in magic.
The game is steeped in the period architecture, costumes, weapons and overall atmosphere of the 17th century. During this period, new scientific discoveries were made, culture flourished and humanity was devoted to exploration.
