The real-time 3D strategy game offers two main combat campaigns consisting of 15 missions and a multiplayer mode for up to four players at once.
You will be given a palette of already designed units to choose from.
Robo units consist of a two or four-legged chassis, a caterpillar, wheels or teleporters, and a weapon.
Interesting weapons
In addition to the standard laser, heavy artillery pieces, RoBoRumble offers a few interesting features like Oiler, which slows down enemies, and Whirlwind, which picks up an enemy and throws them against the nearest wall.
Third optional component Booster
It is usually cheap, but can have a huge impact on the game. You can double your speed, firepower, make Robo units invisible or increase your intelligence.
Energy Pool
The relatively complex way of creating Robos stands in stark contrast to the deliberately simple resource management. The base of the army is a glowing dome-shaped energy pool. Its capacity changes with each mission and is used to create Robos. When Robo is destroyed, its energy is returned to the pool so the player can build new units.
Three different levels of energy form the basis. Whenever one of these levels is under constant fire and is destroyed, its explosion will destroy all enemies in the immediate area.
This purge is a chance for the defending side to buy time to rally their troops and counterattack.
A country in peril
The story takes place in the distant future on the planet Mars. The winner earned the honor of defending Earth in the final battle against the evil aliens. Will it be you?
