Seagate Exos 7E8 6TB Base FastFormat SATA
The Seagate Exos 7E8 6TB Base FastFormat SATA hard drive ranks among the high load internal HDDs compatible with NAS data storage solutions. The 3.5" format is designed chiefly for data centres and desktop PCs. One of the crucial characteristics is obviously the number of revolutions per minute (RPM). The 7200 RPM RPM provides better system response across the board. The overall data capacity of the HDD is 6000 GB. The drive features a 256 MB memory cache. You can link the Seagate hard disk and other hardware is facilitated via the SATA III interface.
Seagate Exos 7E8 6TB Base FastFormat SATA HDD Key Features
- Read speed up to 226 MB/s and write speed up to 226 MB/s
- 256 MB memory cache
- Seagate 3.5" format disk is compatible with classic bays
- Standard power consumption is 11,67 W, while in stand-by mode it makes 6.2 W
- All the data communication takes place using the SATA III interface
- Platter-based hard drives are more susceptible to physical damage, but they also deliver a better storage capacity for less money than SSDs
Other Hard Disk Features
Platter HDDs have a special construction. Inside the hard drive there is a mechanism with moving platters, complete with disk read/write heads. These mechanical parts don't take shocks and impact well, but this design delivers its amazing price/capacity ratio. The important criterion that determines the speed of a hard disk is the number of platter revolutions per minute, generally known as RPM. With the Seagate Exos 7E8 6TB Base FastFormat SATA, you would get 7200 RPM revolutions per minute. This is great news for people who demand more from their devices, such as graphic designers, gamers, video editors, and people who tend to use large amounts of data. System responsivity and stability is also impacted by the disk buffer - the so-called cache. The Seagate HDD features a 256 MB cache that keeps the last written data for their fast retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Seagate Hard Drive
If you want to install the Seagate Exos 7E8 6TB Base FastFormat SATA in your PC or other device, you need a 3.5" slot. Data sharing is done via the SATA III interface with a speed of 3 Gbit/s. The technology is one of the best HDD data transfer options available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
