Seagate SkyHawk AI 10TB
The Seagate SkyHawk AI 10TB hard disk ranks among the high load internal HDDs for storage solutions used by monitoring systems. 3.5" HDDs are designed mainly for data centres and desktop PCs. One of the crucial parameters is clearly the rotational speed of the HDD. The 7200 rev/min RPM delivers improved performance and data speeds. The total capacity of the hard drive is 10000 GB. The storage has a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Seagate hard disk and a computer or other device takes place through the SATA III interface.
Seagate SkyHawk AI 10TB Hard Disk Key Features
- Read speed up to 245 MB/s and write speed up to 245 MB/s
- 256 MB memory cache
- Seagate 3.5" format disk for ordinary drive bays
- The data transfer is facilitated via the SATA III interface
Other HDD Features
Platter hard disks have a notably special construction. Inside the drive there is a mechanism that uses moving platters, complete with disk read/write heads. These moving parts can be damaged by a shock or impact, but this weak point is well-compensated by its amazing price/capacity ratio. The crucial parameter that affects the speed of a HDD is the number of platter revolutions per minute, generally known as RPM. With the Seagate SkyHawk AI 10TB, you get 7200 rev/min revolutions per minute. This is great news for people who demand more from their devices, for example video editors, graphic artists, people who play PC games, and everybody else who deal with large amounts of data. System responsivity and overall stability is also determined the embedded buffer memory known as cache. The Seagate HDD is equipped with a 256 MB cache that stores the last data inputs for their prompt retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Seagate Hard Drive
In order to mount the Seagate SkyHawk AI 10TB in your computer or other device, it must have a 3.5" slot. All communication with the computer happens through the SATA III interface with a standard speed of 6 Gbit/s. The technology is one of the most popular HDD data transfer options available and delivers a speed of 600 MB/s.
