Sony ActionCam HDR-AZ1 mini
Go on an adventure with the new Action Cam Mini
Smaller and lighter, the splashproof Action Cam is more fun than ever before. Compared to previous models, its size decreased considerably. Your footage is going to look and sound great, thanks to Sony’s Exmor™ R CMOS sensor, BIONZ™ X processor for superior detail and texture and XAVC S format for high bit rate recording. This camcorder will take you on an adventure.
Smaller and lighter
Our Action Cam Mini won’t weigh you down. The slender, splashproof design is about two-thirds the size of our previous Action Cams – so there’s less wind and water pressure when you’re filming.
Many interesting functions
Exmor™ R CMOS sensor
Dusk or dawn, taking great looking footage has never been easier. The Exmor™ R CMOS sensor provides low-light sensitivity with improved image clarity and drastically reduced grain.
BIONZ™ X processor
Sony's image processing engine faithfully reproduces textures and details, as seen by the naked eye, via extra high-speed processing and quality.
ZEISS® Tessar® Lens
Capture beautiful shots with high resolution, contrast and true colour reproduction.
Built-in stereo microphone
Action cam Mini’s built-in stereo microphone allows you to capture all the natural sounds of your adventure including lifelike sounds through the supplied waterproof case.
120fps for super slo-mo video
Movies shot at 120fps frame rate at HD resolution can be played back in 30p – the true cinematic frame rate – creating stunning 4x slow-motion effects that capture every movement in precise detail.
Sharp, ultra-wide 170° views
Capture epic wide-angle views with the 170° ZEISS Vario-Tessar lens even when the action is fast on the most challenging ski slopes, mountain trails, swirling rapids, or pitted asphalt paths.
GPS Data Overlay
Track your location and analyse your performance with GPS Data Overlay to display your route, speed, and other details of your latest adventure.
Multi View
Use Multi View to combine up to four movie footage segments – captured simultaneously by different cameras – and make a split-screen composite.
Movie Rotation
Flip your videos clockwise or counter clockwise by 90° with Movie Rotation.

More Specifications
Sony Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1946. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo. Its beginnings were humble. The first product sold under the Sony brand was a transistor radio. It was those radios that played a pivotal role in the company's expansion in the 1960s and the world quickly began to associate Sony products with a reliably stellar price-performance ratio.
In the 1970s, Sony was severely affected by the global economic crisis. Many analysts considered the company effectively defunct and could see no future for it. However, they underestimated the famous Japanese perseverance and courage. The crisis was not a disaster for Sony; on the contrary, it served as a launching pad to even greater heights. The company recovered and soon changed the media landscape with the development of the CD and later the DVD. In the early 1990s, Sony achieved another major success with the introduction of the PlayStation gaming console. It is the gaming consoles that best represent the intersection of the three key areas in which the company operates today – electronics, video games, and the entertainment industry.
