Men's hiking boots ALFA Aksla APS GTX M is designed for movement in demanding terrain, which requires a combination of low weight, mechanical resistance and protection against the weather. The construction uses advanced synthetic Dyneema® fiber-reinforced materials and a GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane. Stability and traction on a variety of surfaces is provided by a Vibram® outsole with technology that reduces the overall weight of the shoe.
Durability of the upper of ALFA Aksla APS GTX M trekking boots
The upper is made of synthetic material reinforced with Dyneema® biocircular fibre. This technical solution provides high resistance to mechanical abrasion and tearing, which is crucial when moving in rocky or overgrown environments. The construction includes an integrated elastic gaiter that surrounds the ankle area and effectively prevents small stones, snow, water or other dirt from entering the shoe.
Waterproof and climate comfort
Protection against external moisture is provided by the GORE-TEX® membrane in the ePE variant. This functional laminate creates a water barrier, while the microporous structure allows body vapour to be drawn away from the foot and outwards. The system thus helps to maintain optimal thermal comfort and dryness inside the shoe even under higher physical stress.
Outsole and traction in the field
Contact with the ground is mediated by the Vibram® Megagrip sole. The rubber compound used is formulated for maximum grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The outsole uses Litebase technology, which reduces the thickness and weight of the rubber layer without compromising the durability of the pattern or traction capabilities. Classic lacing allows precise adjustment of the foot fixation in the shoe.
