The Technics SU-G700M2 integrated stereo amplifier is tight in every way. It uses the advanced technologies introduced by the SU-R1000 reference model, but still at an affordable price. The basis is a class D amplifier with minimal distortion and superior sound parameters. These are taken care of by JENO Engine (Jitter Elimination and Noise-Shaping Optimization). It removes jitter from the entire audible spectrum, so you can hear exactly any detail in even the most sophisticated recordings. It also features LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration) technology, which allows the amplifier to perfectly adapt to any speaker and ensure a flat frequency curve.
The power supply technology has been adopted from the reference model SU-R1000. The switching frequency has been increased from the usual 100 kHz to 400 kHz, reducing the negative effect of modulation noise on sound quality. The Technics SU-G700M2 also uses the same GaN FET transistor and SiC Schottky diode technology as the SU-R1000. This enables the high-speed switching power supply to deliver optimum performance.
The phono input supports both MM and MC and achieves extra low noise. This is due to the use of a low-noise differential parallel connection configuration of the first-phase FET transistor. In addition, you can adjust the gain in four levels depending on the type of cartridge in the transmission. This gives you optimal sound reproduction, whatever your turntable model.
