Globe - Land and Water
The didactic toy Globe - Land and Water is another great Montessori tool through which children playfully learn to recognize the location of individual continents in relation to water bodies . The individual continents are filled with white and their surface is formed by an emery layer. When the child runs his hand over the white layer, its rough surface tells him exactly where the land ends and the water surface begins. The globe can be removed from the base so that the child can recognize the individual continents by touch.
