The AC1200 router splits performance between two bands – 400Mbps on the 2.4GHz frequency for less demanding operations and 867Mbps on the 5GHz frequency for high-definition video streaming or online gaming. To efficiently distribute the signal and increase network throughput, MU-MIMO and Beamforming technology optimise data flows to multiple devices simultaneously. Four external antennas extend wireless coverage, and EasyMesh compatibility allows you to create a unified and flexible mesh network throughout your home. Security and Access Management
To protect the network, the router integrates the modern WPA3 encryption protocol, which improves password security and protection against attacks. The router ensures backward compatibility with older WPA and WPA2 standards. The integrated SPI firewall protects the network from threats from the internet. Parental controls offer tools for filtering content and setting time limits for connected devices.
Management and Operation
You can set up and manage the router via the Tether mobile app, available for Android and iOS, or through the web interface. A powerful 1.2GHz processor controls the smooth running of all network operations. In addition to the standard router mode, the device also supports access point (AP) mode, which allows you to expand your existing wired network with a wireless connection. The included 12V / 1A adapter is used for power.
Connectivity Options
The router offers gigabit ports for wired connections. There is one WAN port for the internet and four gigabit LAN ports for connecting computers, game consoles, or TVs. These ports provide a stable and fast connection for your devices.
