A network switch is a functional network component that connects individual devices and other network elements. It is suitable for controlling network traffic. The TP-LINK TL-SG1210P is made to be mounted in a rack. This type impresses with a switching capacity of 20 Gb/s. The Switch is equipped with 9 × RJ-45 ports that facilitate connection with network elements. One SFP connector serves to transport data via optical fibers. 10/100/1000Base-T technology enables data transfer with a speed of up to 1000 Mbit/s. It features Dual Personality ports, remarkable for incorporating both the RJ-45 and SFP connector ; however, only one can be used at a time. The switch dimensions are 209 × 126 × 26mm. QoS aka Quality of Service technology guarantees the switch doesn't get overloaded, and it also enables you to set up end station priority. The TP-Link device includes PoE technology that provides power and signal connection to end devices with a single LAN cable.
