The TP-Link VIGI C230 dome IP camera offers a high resolution of 3MP, a fixed lens with a 4mm focal length, and a wide 89.1° viewing angle to monitor your chosen area. This device is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, and its durable construction resists adverse weather conditions and potential attempts at vandalism. The hybrid night vision, with a range of 30m, combines classic infrared illumination with an LED spotlight, enabling continuous colour recording even in complete darkness. Integrated smart detection functions recognise motion, area intrusion, and tampering, while power can be supplied either conventionally from the mains or via PoE technology through an Ethernet cable.

The 1/2.8” Progressive Scan CMOS sensor provides a clear image with a resolution of 2304 × 1296px at a frame rate of up to 25 frames per second. The fixed lens, with a 4mm focal length and F1.6 aperture, captures the scene at a horizontal angle of 89.1°, a vertical angle of 45.1°, and a screen size angle of 106.9°. Efficient video compression using H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264 codecs significantly reduces the load on the data network and saves storage space without any reduction in the final image quality.
Hybrid Night Vision
The device uses an advanced hybrid night vision system that combines one infrared LED and one white LED spotlight with a range of up to 30m. Thanks to its highly sensitive sensor and supplemental light, the camera can capture a full-colour image even in pitch-black night conditions. Integrated Smart IR, WDR, 3D DNR, and Night Vision technologies automatically optimise image quality in poor light conditions and eliminate overexposure or noise.
Smart Detection and Object Recognition
Integrated artificial intelligence algorithms enable the precise distinction of people and vehicles from other moving objects in the field of view. Users can set specific rules for motion detection, intrusion into a designated zone, crossing a virtual line, unauthorised tampering with the device, object removal, or unattended baggage. When an event is detected, the system immediately sends a mobile push notification and activates a white light or an audible alarm to deter unwanted visitors.
Integrated Microphone for Audio Recording
This IP camera includes a built-in microphone that records ambient sounds within a radius of up to 4.5m from the device. The audio recording uses advanced ambient noise filtering and supports a sampling rate of 8kHz. The audio track is saved along with the video, providing a complete overview of the monitored activity and facilitating the retrospective analysis of recorded events.
Recording Storage Options
The camera saves captured video recordings to a Network Video Recorder (NVR), sends them to FTP/SFTP servers, or uses cloud storage for remote access. The system supports various recording modes, including continuous recording, scheduled recording, or recording triggered by motion detection or other events. Flexible data management allows for easy searching and playback of key moments through the client software.
Connectivity and Application
A stable network connection is ensured by a single 10/100M RJ-45 Ethernet port, which also supports PoE power according to the 802.3af/at standard with a consumption of 5.5W. Alternatively, you can power the device from a standard electrical outlet using the 12V DC connector. The camera supports ONVIF (Profile S/T) and RTSP protocols for seamless integration with systems from other manufacturers. You can manage and remotely monitor the camera via the VIGI mobile app for Android and iOS operating systems, the web interface, or the VIGI PC Client software.
