Ubiquiti Wave-LR-EU

Ubiquiti Wave-LR-EU
The Ubiquiti Wave-LR-EU WiFi antenna wirelessly transmits data over a distance of up to 8km in outdoor environments. The device primarily operates in the 60GHz band and supports the 802.11ay standard with a total throughput of 2Gb/s. Its UV-stabilised polycarbonate construction is resistant to adverse weather conditions with an IPX6 rating and can withstand a wind load of 286N. The integrated backup radio in the 5GHz band maintains a stable connection even during heavy rain. The station operates in PtP and PtMP modes and uses Wave technology.

Key Features of the Ubiquiti Wave-LR-EU WiFi Antenna
- The device provides a total throughput of up to 2Gb/s in the wireless band
- The parabolic dish design has a gain of 46dBi in the 60GHz band
- The wireless connection range is 8,000m
- The integrated backup radio operates in the 5GHz band
- The construction is water-resistant with an IPX6 rating
- It is powered via the gigabit Ethernet port using passive PoE
- The system includes a built-in GPS module for precise synchronisation

High-Performance 60GHz Band
The device operates with high throughput thanks to the use of wide channels in the licence-free band. The directional design with a narrow beamwidth focuses the signal precisely in the desired direction. This gives users a stable connection with virtually no interference from surrounding networks. The main radio supports the 802.11ay standard for efficient data distribution.

Backup Radio in the 5GHz Band
In the event of heavy rainfall, which can attenuate the main signal, the backup radio is activated. This backup operates in the 5GHz band with support for the WiFi 6 standard and has a gain of 22dBi. The automatic switchover keeps the network connection constantly active without the need for manual administrator intervention. Dual-linear polarisation in this band contributes to better signal penetration.

Built for Harsh Conditions
The 424.4mm diameter parabolic dish has its feed horn protected by a UV-stabilised polycarbonate cover. A stainless steel bracket is used for secure mounting on a pole with a diameter of 25 to 76.2mm. The entire assembly can withstand a wind pressure of 286N at speeds of 200km/h. The device operates in a wide operating temperature range from -40 to 60°C.

Station Hardware
The smooth running of all software functions is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1GHz. 512MB of RAM handles demanding network operations and traffic management. A single gigabit Ethernet port with passive PoE support is used to connect to the internal network. The power consumption of the entire active device does not exceed 20W.

Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools
Device management is facilitated by integration into the centralised UISP system from version 1.4.5. The built-in GPS receiver provides accurate location information and helps with transmission synchronisation. Diagnostic tools offer an immediate overview of the wireless link status, including a cable test. LED indicators on the body of the device signal the power status, GPS, and signal strength of both bands.
