The Ubiquiti Wave-Pro WiFi antenna is used to create point-to-point wireless links or acts as a client station in point-to-multipoint networks. The device operates in the 60GHz band and uses the 802.11ay standard for long-distance data transmission with a total throughput of 5.4Gbps. The parabolic design with a diameter of 424.4mm directs the radiated signal with a narrow beam angle. The product is resistant to external influences according to the IPX6 rating and operates in a temperature range of -40 to 60°C, with a weight of 2.8kg without mounting hardware.

Wireless Performance
The high-speed wireless component uses the main 60GHz band with a total throughput of 5.4Gbps and a channel width of 2160, 1080, or 540MHz. In adverse weather conditions, the system automatically switches operation to the backup radio in the 5GHz band, which supports the 802.11ax standard. The backup radio link with dual polarisation operates with a gain of 22dBi and keeps the connection running even during rain or snow. The device supports a backup channel width of 20, 40, or 80MHz.
Directional Properties and Range
The parabolic reflector has a gain of 46dBi in the 60GHz band with vertical-linear polarisation. The narrow 1.3° beam angle in both azimuth and elevation concentrates the transmitted energy into a narrow beam and suppresses ambient noise in busy areas. The high antenna gain helps to cover a distance of up to 15,000m in point-to-point mode. In point-to-multipoint mode, the range is up to 8,000m when connected to a Wave AP station.
Network Interface
The physical interface consists of two 2.5Gbit RJ45 Ethernet ports and one 10G SFP+ optical port. This configuration provides the necessary transmission capacity to fully utilise the 5.4Gbps wireless link. The optical port eliminates electromagnetic interference on long cable runs to the base of the mast and contributes to the overall stability of data transmission in outdoor deployments. Additionally, the RJ45 ports support passive PoE power.
Outdoor-Ready Construction
The chassis combines an aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate to protect the internal components from degradation. With an IP66 rating, the construction withstands adverse weather conditions and temperatures from -40 to 60°C. The stainless steel mounting hardware securely fastens the device to a mast with a diameter of 25 to 76.2mm and withstands a wind load of 369N at a speed of 200km/h. The mounting kit is included in the package.
Hardware
The operating system is run by a quad-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A53 processor, supported by 512MB of RAM. The integrated GPS receiver is used for precise transmission synchronisation and device location within the wireless network. LED indicators on the antenna body signal the power status, Ethernet activity on the ports, GPS signal, and SFP+ optical connection. A separate LED also shows the wireless link strength in both the 5GHz and 60GHz bands.
Power and Management Options
Power is supplied via passive PoE, supporting 44–54V DC (4-pair and 2-pair) or 22–27V DC, with a power consumption of 26W. The package includes a 48V DC, 2.5GbE PoE power adapter for network connection. Device management is handled remotely via the UISP software application from version 2.3.0, which is used for monitoring and configuring parameters. For local setup, there is a single factory reset button.
