The dishwasher has an AquaStop solenoid valve installed on the water inlet, which stops the water flow from the mains in case the inner casing of the inlet hose ruptures. If a rupture occurs, water escapes through the outer casing of the hose into the lower part of the dishwasher (the safety reservoir), where a float triggers a fault alarm and activates AquaStop by sending a signal to the electronic valve. The water supply is shut off and the drain pump empties the dishwasher's tank. The Whirlpool W0B D841A X dishwasher features protection in the form of a control panel lock. This prevents any accidental changes to the appliance's settings.
