The system fully supports the modern Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard and operates on two frequency bands simultaneously. The 2.4GHz band is used for less demanding tasks and better penetration through obstacles, with speeds of up to 574Mbps, while the 5GHz band handles data-intensive transfers with speeds of up to 2402Mbps. OFDMA technology enables simultaneous data transmission to multiple end devices without unnecessary delays. Beamforming technology actively seeks out connected devices and focuses the wireless signal directly towards them.
Reliable Xiaomi Mesh network for the whole house
Advanced Xiaomi Mesh technology connects individual units into a single stable network with one name and password. Mobile phones or tablets automatically switch to the strongest node without any interruption to the connection. The system can cover an area of up to 600m² when one main router and three satellite routers are connected. In total, the network can be expanded to up to 10 satellite units, which is sufficient even for very complex building layouts. The 256MB of internal memory can easily handle more than 250 simultaneously connected devices.
Modern data encryption and security
Data transmitted across your home network is protected by the more modern WPA3-SAE security and encryption protocol, which is complemented by the older WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK standards for backward compatibility. The system supports modern IPv6 addressing with a larger address space and enhanced communication security. Integrated BSS colouring technology reduces interference from surrounding wireless networks by colour-coding the signal. To quickly connect an Android phone, simply use the integrated NFC interface by tapping it against the router's body.
Connectivity options
Physical connectivity is provided by four 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports that support automatic WAN/LAN detection. These connectors are used for reliable wired connections to desktop computers, game consoles, or smart TVs.
