Zyrtec 10 mg 20 tablets
What is Zyrtec and what is it used for
The active substance of Zyrtec is cetirizine dihydrochloride. Zyrtec is an antiallergic. Zyrtec 10 mg coated tablets are used in adults and children from 6 years of age to - relieve nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis. - relieve the symptoms of urticaria.
Before you start taking Zyrtec
Do not administer this medicine to children under 6 years of age, as the dosage form of the coated tablets does not allow for appropriate dosage adjustment.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor first, before you start taking this medicine
How to take Zyrtec
The tablets are swallowed and washed down with a glass of water. The tablet can be divided into 2 equal doses.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
10 mg (1 tablet) once daily.
Children aged 6 to 12 years:
5 mg (1/2 tablet) twice daily.
Patients with renal impairment:
Patients with moderate renal impairment are recommended to take 5 mg once daily. If you have severe kidney disease, consult your doctor who can adjust your dosage. If your child has kidney disease, check with your doctor who can adjust the dosage according to your child's needs.
What Zyrtec contains
The active substance is cetirizine dihydrochloride. One coated tablet contains 10 mg cetirizindihydrochloride.
Excipients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, Opadra Y-1-7000 coating system (hypromellose (E 464), titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 400)
How to store Zyrtec
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and blister after "EXP".
The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
