How does MUCOSOLVAN work?
Backed by more than 100 clinical studies, the active ingredient Ambroxol relieves congestion, making it easier to cough and relieve coughing.
How to dose?
Peroral administration:Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 3 times a day 4ml Children from 6 to 12 years: 2-3 times a day 2ml Children from 2 to 5 years: 3 times a day 1ml Children under 2 years: 2 times a day 1ml
Inhalation:Adults and children over 6 years old: 1-2 inhalations of 2-3ml inhalation solution daily Children up to 6 years: 1-2 inhalations of 2 ml inhalation solution daily
Why MUCOSOLVAN?
For more than 45 years, Mucosolvan has helped relieve cough symptoms. From the very beginning, they have been striving to fulfil their main goal - to be a reliable support for customers in the fight against whooping cough.
Dosage and method of use
The use of Mucosolvan solution is possible in two ways. Mucosolvan is taken orally by children from 2 to 5 years of age in the amount of 1 ml 3 times a day. Children from 6 to 12 years 2 ml 2-3 times a day. Adults and children over 12 years of age can then take 4 ml 2-3 times a day. The solution can be mixed with water, juice or tea to make it easier to take. It is served during or after a meal.
Mucosolvan solution can also be used for inhalation, which is an effective way to deliver the drug directly into the airways. For children aged 6 years and older and adults, we recommend 1-2 inhalations per day, using 2-3 ml of the solution for each inhalation. Children from 2 to 6 years old use 1-2 ml per inhalation, 1-2 times a day. The solution can be mixed with saline in a 1:1 ratio to improve humidification during inhalation. Inhale using a standard inhaler (not a vapour inhaler). During inhalation, breathe normally, avoiding deep breaths to avoid irritating the bronchial tubes.
Contraindications
Do not take MUCOSOLVAN Solution if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to ambroxol or any of the excipients in the medicine. It is not recommended to take the product in pregnancy, especially in the first 3 months. Since ambroxol hydrochloride is excreted in breast milk, it is not recommended that breastfeeding mothers take the product.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and bottle. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Use within 6 months after first opening. This product does not require any special storage conditions.
