ROG Azoth 96 HE is a wireless analogue gaming keyboard that offers professional performance in a sleek and compact 96% layout. It is equipped with hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches and a next-generation ROG Hall sensor. This ensures lightning-fast keystroke detection and a consistent response. Thanks to its three connection modes, you can seamlessly switch between up to five devices with a polling rate of up to 8000Hz. The OLED touch screen and intuitive controller put system settings at your fingertips, while the six-layer damping ensures every keystroke is soft, stable and satisfying. The keyboard has a premium metal top frame and distinctive ROG keycaps. A comfortable typing experience is ensured by four layers of PORON, an IXPE pad and a silicone pad, which absorb vibrations and dampen switch sounds; the gasket softness can be adjusted by replacing the bottom damping foam.
The ROG Azoth 96 HE keyboard layout offers a balanced combination of efficiency and functionality. It is only a centimetre wider than a standard TKL keyboard (a keyboard without a number pad) and offers a full number pad and functions like Print Screen, Screen Lock, Home, and End, making it suitable for both work and play. The 1.47-inch colour OLED touch screen displays the keyboard's status in real-time, including Caps Lock indicators, connection mode and PC/Mac profiles. It can also display battery status, media playback information, system metrics such as CPU temperature, or custom animations. Paired with the three-way controller and dedicated side button, it offers easy access to essential settings.
The Azoth 96 HE keyboard uses six damping layers—four layers of PORON, one IXPE, and one silicone layer—that absorb keystroke vibrations and clicking noise, enabling a pleasant typing experience. ROG HE is a new platform with structural enhancements that provides greater stability and performance. It is an identifier for the switch mounting platform on ROG keyboards using Hall effect switches. It is compatible with hot-swappable magnetic switches. Within the HE platform, magnetic switches can be used across all supported ROG HE keyboards. The switches will also be compatible with future upgrades using the same mounting type.
The latest pre-lubed magnetic switch offers a solid, ultra-precise keystroke, lightning-fast response and a lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes. The polycarbonate top housing, POM plastic stem, and bottom housing ensure an exceptionally smooth keystroke. In addition, the reinforced stem design increases stability and protects against dust and dirt. The result is consistently smooth, reliable, and precise keystrokes for gaming or typing. When Speed Tap mode is activated, the keyboard prioritises the last key pressed and automatically releases the previous one if two keys are pressed in rapid succession. This means that in FPS games, pressing two opposing directional keys (e.g., A + D) no longer immobilises your character; instead, you can change your direction of movement instantly without needing to release the previous key, which eliminates delay when counter-strafing and ensures precise aim every time.
The Azoth 96 HE keyboard offers three connection modes for seamless connectivity via ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, Bluetooth or a wired USB connection. Discover an ultra-fast response with an 8000Hz polling rate in ROG SpeedNova mode or wired USB mode, which delivers up to an 8× faster refresh rate than most gaming keyboards. This reduces latency from 1ms to just 0.125ms and ensures precise real-time reactions. Zone mode unlocks maximum competitive performance while disabling features like RGB lighting. Once activated, gaming-critical keys automatically default to an 8000Hz polling rate, while less-used keys are reduced to 250Hz. The polling rate for each key can be further customised according to user preference.
