The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke) is a wireless temperature fire detector equipped with two built-in thermistors that respond to sudden increases in temperature and smoke. An 85 dB alarm will alert the signal strength. The unit is simply installed in the ceiling, ensuring even sensing throughout the room. It can be mounted on a wall near, for example, a fireplace, which reduces the possibility of delay in case of fire. The device communicates with the central unit using the Jeweller protocol and can be controlled via the manufacturer's AJAX application. However, you can also use it completely on its own without the hub. The model marked RB has replaceable batteries with a lifetime of up to 7 years.

When connected to a hub, it constantly exchanges data and analyses it in real time, preventing false alarms. If the room temperature exceeds 64 °C or rises by more than 10 °C per minute, the detector will sound an alarm. The optical sensor can distinguish between smoke and steam, while the thermistor reacts quickly to burning material in the room.

The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB smoke detector operates completely stand-alone, but when connected to a central unit, you can create a stable environment to which you can add other detectors in the building and get a truly secure system for mass alarming in 20 seconds. You can also integrate it into smart home scenarios. HazeFlow 2 software algorithm to prevent false smoke detection alarms. Control via the manufacturer's Ajax app is simple and intuitive.
Installation that everyone can do
The device is designed for indoor use. It attaches to the ceiling with the SmartBracket, which does not require removal of the top of the cover. The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB detector is equipped with replaceable CR123A batteries with a lifetime of up to 7 years. In the event of a low battery, the device will alert you by flashing the LED and beeping.
