The APC Lithium-ion Smart-UPS T 1000VA 2U line-interactive UPS provides an apparent power of 1000VA and a real power of 800W. It can power connected devices from the battery for 7 minutes and 47 seconds at full load and 16 minutes and 7 seconds at half load. The compact 2U design with a short depth of 318mm allows for mounting in rack cabinets, and it can also be converted into a standalone tower. This 2U UPS uses lithium-ion technology with an extended battery life. The automatic voltage regulation (AVR) feature stabilises grid fluctuations without switching to the battery. Its operating efficiency at full load is 98.2%, reducing both heat loss and energy consumption.
The UPS operates on a line-interactive topology. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects grid fluctuations without using the battery. The apparent power is 1000VA and the real power is 800W. The efficiency at full load is 98.2% and at half load it is 96.9%.
At the heart of this UPS is a replaceable lithium-ion battery with a lifespan of 8 to 10 years, which significantly reduces replacement frequency and total operating costs compared to standard lead-acid batteries. The battery takes just 3 hours to fully charge. The UPS integrates multi-stage protection for connected electronics, including deep-discharge protection, which extends battery life. The surge protection absorbs up to 680J of energy and, along with noise filtering, protects sensitive devices from damage caused by surges or line interference.
For local and remote management, the UPS includes USB, RS-232, and Ethernet ports. The integrated SmartConnect port provides direct access to cloud-based UPS status monitoring from anywhere, without needing to install additional software. The service sends automatic notifications and firmware updates. For advanced management and graceful system shutdown, it offers PowerChute Network Shutdown software, which safely shuts down physical servers and virtual machines during a prolonged power outage, preventing data loss or file corruption. The UPS is also compatible with the IT Expert centralised management platform.
The mains input uses a standard IEC 60320 C14 connector. For connected devices, it offers six IEC 320 C13 type output sockets. All outputs are fully backed-up and surge-protected, providing an uninterruptible power supply for all critical electronics.
