AMD processor support
The motherboard features an AMD Socket AM5 and supports AMD EPYC 4000 series processors with a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of up to 120W. This barebones system also works seamlessly with processors from the 4005, 4004, 9000, or 7000 series. The motherboard with the AMD B650 chipset can therefore handle even very demanding computing operations, depending on the chosen processor. Fast RAM
For the stable running of demanding applications, there are four dual-channel memory slots for DDR5 modules with a frequency of up to 5600MHz. The board supports both standard modules and memory with ECC technology for automatic error detection and correction. The four available slots can be fitted with 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, or 48GB memory modules to achieve a total capacity that meets the requirements of modern software and demanding database systems.
Graphics performance
The chassis provides space to install one low-profile NVIDIA RTX A1000 or RTX A400 graphics card. These graphics processors are well-suited for processing spatial visualisations and tasks involving artificial intelligence. A graphics output is also provided by an integrated chip with a DisplayPort 1.4a interface via the rear USB-C port, supporting 4K resolution at 60Hz.
Data storage options
The system offers two hot-swap 2.5″ bays for the SATA interface, which are complemented by two other internal 2.5″ SATA or NVMe U.2 drives. It also includes one M.2 slot with support for the PCIe 5.0 ×4 interface for a fast SSD. This configuration provides quick access to stored data and simplifies backing up or swapping drives on the fly without having to shut down the entire system.
Network connectivity
A fast network connection is provided by two Intel Ethernet ports with a speed of 2.5Gb/s, which are complemented by a dedicated Realtek port with a speed of 1Gb/s for remote management. System management is handled by the integrated AST2600 BMC controller and ASUS Control Center Express software. The network interface reduces latency when transferring large volumes of data over the local network and is used for efficient real-time hardware monitoring.
Power and connectors
Stable power for the entire system is provided by a built-in 500W power supply with Gold-class efficiency. The rear panel features fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with a speed of 10Gb/s, both Type-A and Type-C, two USB 2.0 ports, and a serial COM port. The rear panel also includes a serial port for connecting older industrial devices, and the front panel offers another two USB ports with a speed of 5Gb/s for easy connection of peripherals.
