The ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 12G OC WHITE is a graphics card built on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture with the GB205 chip. It has 12GB of GDDR7 memory running at 28GHz with a 192-bit bus. The card offers 6144 CUDA cores, a base clock speed of 2160MHz, and a Boost mode of up to 2587MHz. The NVIDIA Blackwell architecture introduces fifth-generation Tensor Cores optimised for FP4 precision computing and DLSS 4.0 technology with Multi Frame Generation, which generates more frames at once for higher performance. The fourth-generation Ray Tracing Cores are designed to handle complex geometry with full ray tracing. The card supports NVIDIA Reflex 2.0 with Frame Warp to reduce latency based on the last mouse position, improving responsiveness in competitive games. For content creators, it offers the ninth-generation NVIDIA Encoder for fast video exporting and support for NVIDIA Studio tools.
Cooling is handled by three axial-tech fans, which have longer blades for better airflow and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure. At GPU temperatures below 50°C, the fans stop thanks to 0dB technology, ensuring quiet operation during less demanding tasks. MaxContact technology expands the cooler's contact area by 5% compared to traditional solutions, helping to reduce temperatures by up to 2°C. The back of the card features large vents for more effective heat dissipation. The mounting bracket is made of stainless steel, which ensures high strength and corrosion resistance.
The card offers a Dual BIOS, letting you switch between Performance and Quiet modes to suit your preferences. Performance mode maintains lower core temperatures with higher fan speeds, while Quiet mode retains the same power limit with gentler fan operation. The construction uses automated Auto-Extreme Technology, which completes all soldering in a single pass, reducing thermal stress on components. ASUS GPU Guard reinforces all four corners of the GPU, reducing the risk of cracking.
